Apologies for large bump...
Has anybody else had recent difficulties with e-mails not arriving? I've had two people today tell me that they've sent me e-mails, but there's not a sniff on Gmail. Are they having difficulties at the moment, or is there anything else I should be investigating?

Probably an obvious question, but have you checked if they've landed in your Spam label/folder?madmusician wrote:Has anybody else had recent difficulties with e-mails not arriving? I've recently had problems from hotmail/yahoo/google, who have changed their rules to completely block a load of (often legitimate) mass emails that they have decided could be spam.
These emails don't even show up in your spam folder and often don't trigger failure reports either.
Annoyingly, when I email to an individual from the same system, the emails normally get through which made it harder to track down where the fault was!
It seems a bit irresponsible to blanket block any email from a user without giving them control of the filtering. If the post office did that with real mail, I doubt it'd be accepted!
