2010 Marks an Exciting Era for Signature Fans
For release: Immediate

InterSput (in coperation with Metropol's main technology supplier hymagumba.com) is excited to announce the arrival of new signature graphics for 2010. After extensive work with Lazyorange and Gavatar consultation services we have created a series of new designs that reflects the optimism and class of the new decade.

THE NEW SELECTION (all available colours)

To insert your signature, you need this code

Code: Select all

Replacing "colour" with one of: grey, red, orange, green, blue or purple

This style remains:

Code: Select all

The original style has been DECOMMISSIONED because it is (i) ugly and (ii) broken:

A very fab few (they know who they are) get their up-to-date metropol avatars in their signature as well. If you remove your avatar or are not entitled to such a sig then it'll default to a 404 or a non-avatarry one.

Code: Select all

where you will have been informed of your "user". Same colours are available as above and a pink one too.

Ah, so it's a two tier society now then. Give it to everyone or none at all I say, or you may find people not using the "meanwhile on Metropol" avatars at all.

Its a phenomenal amount of work, and I won't ask too much of the creators all at once.

Feel free to adopt the regular ones or not as you choose - but please try to understand that I cannot impose such volumes of work, as I simply can't pay the overtime.

Ta much.

I like this alot. I won't even pester for a pink one 'cos the purple is just perfect. I'm not too bothered that there is no avatar on mine. My opinion would be that the avatars on the signature should be an optional extra.

Very nice. Really in keeping with the site.

A compromise would perhaps be a half-size version, so that people can have this and their own signature on the other place, without breaking those oh so important guidelines. Though that'd probably be even more work.

Oh and a black one would be nice, I'm quite happy with the grey though.

I'm not sure why you're so shocked Alexia, metro has always been a two tier forum, I mean there's me, and there's everyone else.

But in reality the list is essentially staff, and Nick, and people who win competitions. I mean it's not as if you could identify the membership of the secret forum from them not least because barcode doesn't even have an avatar...

Ugh at the poorness of that and how vulnerable I bet it is to layout changes on the homepage :)

I'm a fan of non-conformists.

Within certain boundaries, natch.

Tsk! There's always one isn't there. Mimicry is the sincerest form of flattery.

I'm more curious as to how the title is being scraped, is the forum being parsed or did said user find a certain XML file?
