It's Snowing!

we've had about 10cm of snow over night - so much so that work called and said don't bother coming in.

it is so so bloody cold out there. my outside temperature sensor is reporting -1.5 but feels much, much colder than that (it was -2 the other morning and that felt mild compared to this).

what's it like where you are?

Lovely pictures, Dr L. I got into work this morning. A few of us made it. I love how the people who don't make it in can easily leave work early and get home when in similar conditions.

Oh you big southern softies. We get told to march through the drifts up here ;)

Lovely pics Doctor. Its bitter cold but no snow in Edinburgh today. Well not outside my flat - I'm on a day off anyway.

Woo!

This might be famous last words, but it's a lovely sunny day here in Wiltshire, albeit mighty cold.

I don't think I'll bother going to work today, all the same!

Bloody freezing here, been a couple of light snow showers but nothing much. We have a warning for Sunday/Monday though.

there were snowflakes about the same of teabags coming down about an hour ago. it's still snowing.

earlier today, for about an hour after sunset the temperature went down to a distinctly chilly -7.5°c. it's gone up to -0.3°c now.

as you can see by my highly accurate measuring technique - we've had about 4.5 inches of snow in 48 hours.

i don't think the council has grit anywhere other than the main trunk roads, i wouldn't even think about getting my car out of the drive right now... i don't think i could.

Started snowing here with heavy showers a while ago and an inch or so has settled so far. Forecast is for heavy showers all day. People have already arrived in the park behind my house with their sledges!
