Re: The Tesco & Other non-Morrisons Supermarket Thread

Interestingly, after mentioning the Sevenoaks Tesco a couple of weeks back, I read an article today claiming it's supposedly the last remaining store with a separate "Home n Wear" section, which were a staple of Tesco stores back in the 70s and 80s. I do remember the out-of-town store here...

Re: The Tesco & Other non-Morrisons Supermarket Thread

A poor effort. They should have used this logo and done the rest of the design in a similar style: http://www.flickr.com/photos/47381765@N04/5402292744/in/photostream/ I've got a shit load of bags in that style, that I rescued out my grandparents garage circa 1998! I still like to visit the Tescos ...

Re: 2012 Elections

Where I live (Mansfield) is probably one of the biggest disasters of elected mayors, and I can't believe we've been stuck with him for 10 years. An "independent" who is basically a tory-in-disguse and him and his cronies have completely damaged the town over the past decade, not having a c...

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board

Surely the channel codes alone are proof that he's genine? It's not like it's just for the BBC and ITV channels, he has a very elaborate system for every single channel out there, which must have taken a hell of a lot of time and effort to come up with. I can't see a WUM putting that much in just to...

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board

Delurking after a long time to reply to this thread. I certainly don't think he's an act, he's been at it for far, far too long. He was a member of Digitalspy for 3 years before he joined TVF (He got banned from DS in 2007) under the name of "Star Attraction", and he was exactly the same t...

Re: Left brain or Right?

Someone posted this on another forum I use. You can switch it, but you need to concentrate. Try squinting and just looking at the legs, that seems to be the easiest way. It takes a while, but once you've worked out how to do it, you can switch it at will. It's just an optical illusion though, I don'...

The one here had signs like that outside until a couple of years ago. There's still one like it outside the one in Nottingham, engraved into a wall.

Re: Have you got your Christmas decorations up yet?

Our local pub which has just opened has Xmas decorations all over the place. It's to promote and encourage people to book their Christmas dinners, but it just feels way too early.

Re: Yet another Morrisons thread

I remember those little kiddies trollies, they got rid of them at some point in the early 90s. They also had them where my mum worked in Center Parcs, they got rid of them because they kept getting nicked.

Re: Yet another Morrisons thread

After all - their disabled bays talk to you to inform you of the fact that you've parked your car in the disabled bay. Just in case you hadn't noticed. In our Asda, they switched them off around 2000, then removed them entirely a couple of years later. I wonder if it was anything to do with the fac...

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board

There is about place. There it is! Over there!
Their is about belonging. The children keep their books in their desks. They're is short for they are.
Just a shame he can't differentiate between "there" and "they".
