Re: The Unofficial Sainsbury's Thread

An Argos concession, or click and collect point to open in every Sainsbury's store in the UK.

Homebase, or Bunnings, not wasting any time either. Looks like all of the Argos concessions within Homebase are set to close shortly. Funnily enough, the Argos within my local Homebase actually adjoins a branch of Sainsbury's.

Re: The Tesco & Other non-Morrisons Supermarket Thread

On another note I see that Tesco have adopted new shelf edge labels. I noticed a rogue one today amongst the old style SELs and simply thought someone didn't bother to use the right template, though this tweet proves me wrong.

Re: The Tesco & Other non-Morrisons Supermarket Thread

A new thing for me this week - a McDonald's concession inside an Asda at Bedminster. Never seen that before in my life, looks like they just removed the counter and back section of the old Asda cafe and replaced that with a Maccies, but the seating area itself still looks original. Googling it thou...

Re: Metro/TFM

They do the same thing on a national scale with what they do with their City 2 and City 3 networks. They all carry localised branding, i.e Viking 2, Hallam 3, but as far as I know all programming bar local news is networked. Bauer must find the regional brands quite strong if they go through all thi...

Re: The Co-op Thread

Interestingly it seems that regional societies who use the generic Co-operative branding, such as The Southern Co-operative, haven't updated to the new look, and they are still opening new stores with the old logo as this tweet shows.

Here's the news release and the full list (PDF) of stores sold. Some interesting stores on that list. This store, close to me, was purpose built and only opened in 2012. It's one of the larger Co-ops, not the size of a typical McColl's shop. http://s0.geograph.org.uk/geophotos/03/25/37/3253703_d73c...

Re: Another High Street Rebrand

No changes yet at the Funeralcare and Pharmacy at my local shopping centre. Judging by your location tag would that be the one at North Point shopping centre? I was there a few days ago and I noticed that oddly the pharmacy has the generic 2008 "The co-operative pharmacy" sign but the pro...
