i think many people are getting het up about this. No-one is saying that trans-people are less than male and female its a necessary clarification over a person's biological gender.

The question is where does gender criticism stop and transphobic commenting starts? From what I understand (which granted isn't much) about the issue it seems the lines have become dangerously blurred.

In a nutshell that's what the issue is about. There are extremists on both sides and its the majority who are suffering from their ridiculous antics.

I subscribe to the theory that 99% of "trans" people are trying to live their lives in peace and that it's the remaining 1% that are kicking up a fuss. I'm hopeful that sensible adjustments will be made to accommodate the necessary changes to regulations and facilities.
