Re: The Unofficial Sainsbury's Thread

I don’t know, I think it depends on the type of errand I’m on. If I’m walking ten minutes into town to buy some bread or have a coffee, I’m perfectly happy to just have my phone. It saves carrying a bulky set of cards around and it’s very low risk – I don’t recall a time in the past 18 months when I...

Re: TV Live Forum Watch News and Information Board

Good heavens, I've not bothered going into that GB News thread at all, not pre-launch or post. I note VMPhil's point about politics being integral to any discussion of the channel but… I'm sure it's not a pleasant discussion to read.

Yes, seeing it as an extension of the split playlisting on the themed stations makes much more sense. It feels a little limiting to me though, having to match songs by duration over most other factors!

Re: TV Live Forum Watch News and Information Board

Brekkie* really gets on my wick with this stuff. I actually think he's a valuable contributor – I don't agree with all he says and sometimes he's a touch too whiny for my liking, but that's subjective and at least he gets discussion going. But why he has chosen the hill of being allowed to post abou...

Re: The Tesco & other non-Morrisons supermarket thread

I realised an oddity of the Tesco café POS system today. I have observed this a few times but only registered today what was actually going on. The assistant enters the order on one till point, then prints a receipt, scans a barcode on another till and proceeds to payment on this second till. It see...

Re: Another High Street Rebrand

If it was a fashion label, sure. Why not? But not for this.

I think the 'a burden' reading of it is particularly unfortunate for this type of company.

Re: BBC Radio 1 Relax

But to be fair, putting them in a different section or pushing them to the end won't help them attract listeners. Given it's early days, I think it's sensible to place them where they are. I think I'm right in saying that Sounds remembers what you were listening to last – so if you were on Radio 4 i...

Re: TV Live Forum Watch News and Information Board

I’ve intentionally not got into the death thread at all – sounds like I made the right call.
