Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board

I'm very much enjoying Brekkie's continuing comments on TVF. I won't chime in to echo them, as I've had nothing to contribute re presentation.

I'm actually getting quite annoyed with Brekkie's attitude, and I have just commented so on TV Forum. The death of any PM is a major event and even more ...

World Service pre-TOTH

The World Service had replaced their pre-pips 'This is the BBC in London, ..., ...' with a voiceover ending 'The World's radio sation' since about August. However this evening I heard the old slogan again, but with what sounded like an updated theme behind it. They can't have already dropped the ...

More World Service Cuts

http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2012/oc ... e-73-posts

More cuts to the World Service. World Briefing to be replaced with 'The Newsroom.' The Strand axed. Cutting regional variations. And most concerning in my opinion, a move from 18 to 14 hours of news every day. :(

Re: BBC Radio 4 News

Robin Lustig is to leave the BBC. This obviously leaves a huge vacancy for a new presenter to take over The World Tonight.

Last edition of The World Today from 3-8.30am tomorrow. I somehow don't think I will be listening to most of it live! :)

I wonder why they are continuing the World Today Weekend brand. I presumed that it would just be reconfigured as 'Newsday Weekend.'

Re: BBC Radio 2 New Jingles

I agree with the comments above. I am very impressed with what I have heard so far. The real test is in days and months when we see if they are becoming annoying or iconic. Currently, I am hoping for the latter. :)

Re: Moyles leaves Breakfast

Often when you have had someone in the same role for so long, it does take several attempts to find the right replacement who can make their own thing of it. I can't help feeling Grimshaw will be replaced quite soon and moved back to another slot.
