Tonight is the last edition of The World Tonight to be presented by Robin Lustig. Still no word on who his replacement will be.

More cuts to the World Service. World Briefing to be replaced with 'The Newsroom.' The Strand axed. Cutting regional variations. And most concerning in my opinion, a move from 18 to 14 hours of news every day.

Robin Lustig is to leave the BBC. This obviously leaves a huge vacancy for a new presenter to take over The World Tonight.

Last edition of The World Today from 3-8.30am tomorrow. I somehow don't think I will be listening to most of it live!

I agree with the comments above. I am very impressed with what I have heard so far. The real test is in days and months when we see if they are becoming annoying or iconic. Currently, I am hoping for the latter.

Often when you have had someone in the same role for so long, it does take several attempts to find the right replacement who can make their own thing of it. I can't help feeling Grimshaw will be replaced quite soon and moved back to another slot.
