Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board
Brekkie and co have decided to skewer me for breakfast over my supposed bias comments about Nigel Farage on the talkRADIO thread after they couldn't do similar on the GB News thread when I mentioned the lack of impartiality during the interview of which one presenter is part of the same political pa...

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board
Considering Brekkie appears to be someone of a more liberal persuasion, his moaning about not being able to discuss GB News editorial is straight out of the playbook of some members of the right.

Re: What device do you general browse (and particularly post to) Metropol on?
I use the desktop PC to post on forums. I haven't grasped or have the patience to type long posts to forums using my phone.

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board
The third GB News topic posted that went weird after three posts! It had to be JKDerry.

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board
It was veering well off-topic by the end, Andrew Neil fuelling the flames of those who see it as an abomination to television against those who appear to see it as what they want to see and hear before it launches, but there was very little if any tv pres posts today, so I'm not surprised the thread...

Yes that one stuck out. The overall analysis of his recent events minutes after his death was announced was in poor taste.GhostFromTVF wrote: ↑Tue 02 Feb, 2021 17.46 The worst comment was AlexS saying his death was “self-inflicted” because of his holiday in Barbados. Unsurprisingly they’ve been banned.

Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake
My mental picture of Debenhams is still their Glasgow branch in the mid 90s, which had a confusing layout and was lacking in obvious exit signs. There's probably still people trying to leave now. The glass lift at Debenhams Croydon is my childhood memory of the store. Even back in the 80s/90s I nev...

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board
The last 30 mins or so of 'analysis' of Captain Tom Moore's death on the Covid 19 news thread was nothing short of disgusting.
It takes a lot for me to be offended, but some of the absolute tripe being posted was easily my lowest point of reading TVF in nearly 20 years of being a member.

Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake
While ASOS has acquired Topshop and Topman without any stores, the Standard is speculating that they may keep the flagship London Oxford Street store open, which would be their first bricks and mortar outlet. https://www.standard.co.uk/business/leisure-retail/asos-topshop-flagship-store-oxford-stree...

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board
The Masked Singer is as close to a DS tv show thread we've had for a while.
If there was actually some production based discussion I might read it more, but I'm not interested in it as a tv show where people guess which minor celeb is dressed up as a chicken or whatever.

Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake
I wonder if stores similar to The Range would take on some of the ex Debenhams leases? They took on the ex Debenhams in Surrey Quays Shopping Centre.
