My new plastic Nectar card has arrived. Changes are that the front is just the nectar logo on a purple background. The Nectar number is now printed on the back, with the barcode, mag stripe and cardholder name. They've axed the QR code however. I didn't realise they ever had QR codes. I think I got...

Changes are that the front is just the nectar logo on a purple background. The Nectar number is now printed on the back, with the barcode, mag stripe and cardholder name. They've axed the QR code however.

The Tesco Express I use with self service, you have to ask the cashier to give you a bag. An interesting quirk is that the security guard is allowed to go into the staff interface if there's a problem with the scales or if a customer wants to remove a product. Same at my local. From my experience today, staff were able to get through the transactions a lot faster, although there was one trade customer who asked for a VAT receipt and had to ask a colleague how to do it. Having a monitor to see the all of your goods is a nice touch, but could do with increasing the font size...
