Re: Another High Street Rebrand

Whereas my local Tesco is flush with new trollies introduced in time for a recent Scan as you Shop upgrade.

Indeed, my nearest Sainsbury's and Morrisons seem to have an abundance of trollies, if the latter are a bit worse for wear.

Re: Pres Cafe Watch News and Information Board

It's simple - don't just stick a link in and / or quote from the article. This took all of 2 minutes to write: "A head-to-head debate between Rishi Sunak and Keir Starmer has been announced to be taking place on ITV. A change from the multi-way debates they've largely from 2015 onwards. Perhaps...

Re: Pres Cafe Watch News and Information Board

So all this nonsense about Nazis and violence, and it essentially boils down to a thread being temporarily closed so the posts can be sorted out. It's nonsense in your eyes because clearly you're missing the point. Of course the thread wasn't closed to sort out messages, don't be so naive. He's bac...

Re: There an election this year.....

I’d be amazed if it’s anything other than a healthy Labour majority. I don’t really buy the whole argument about too big a swing needed etc - the mood of the country is pretty clearly against the Tories right now I believe that the idea a large swing would be required is based on old data and is no...

Re: There an election this year.....

I don't think that we will have a Conservative Government, come the 4th of July I'm not sure what course of events could cause there not to still be one up to and including the morning of the 5th. Through a huge coincidence, everyone in the nation forgets to vote, except one voter in Newcastle who ...

Re: Another High Street Rebrand

The mention of in-store music reminds me of M&S going in the other direction, having Status Quo produce "Saving All Over The Store".

It was quite surreal to hear it playing in the shop when I'd seen nothing about the song being produced.

Re: Yet another Morrisons thread

I noticed during my most recent visit that quite a few drinks items were on clearance. I wonder if their range is also being reduced?

Re: There an election this year.....

People definitely want change - in all parts of the UK. The question is do they want that change to be to a Labour majority government? I don't think that is a nailed down certainty yet. I wondered what the bookmakers' odds were for a Labour majority at the next election - it's between 1/8 and 1/12...

Re: There an election this year.....

Indeed, it doesn't feel like the sort of election that will produce a bog standard result.
