Re: TV Live Forum Watch News and Information Board

Moderators have the right to issue warnings for the following breach of rules: questioning a moderator's decision in public, either on this forum or on other social media platforms. Not sure if that's a new development in response to recent member vs admin public spats or has been there a while, bu...

Re: The Unofficial Sainsbury's Thread

Out of interest how much does it cost to process a card payment these days? I would guess at pennies given how much more prevalent it is now. We have done away with cash completely in my work. There’s naturally a slight impact through those who insist they only ever pay cash, but we more than make ...

Re: Windows 9 is now Windows 10

I'm sure it has nothing whatsoever to do with Apple finally incrementing the primary version number of MacOS to 11 and Microsoft not wanting to appear to be a version behind... Indeed, and I think a few things going on over on the Apple side of the fence has got more than a few of the big Wintel OE...

Re: The Very Official McDonalds (and other fast food outlets) Thread

I went to Wendy's on opening day. 3 hour drive down, 2 hour wait outside. It was a bloody good burger though, certainly leagues above McDonalds and BK, possibly at or above the level of Five Guys but obviously much better value. Of course this is early days and the restaurant was clearly running wit...

Nor me, and having looked the offers are 10% off 3 products I've never bought and have no interest in.

Re: Another High Street Rebrand

I assume that the likes of London Overground and Merseyrail will keep their branding when GBR launches especially since the former is owned by TFL but operated by Arriva Rail. Yes, the existing 'concession' arrangements will continue as-is. The Merseyrail brand predates privatisation by a good 20 y...

Re: The Tesco & other non-Morrisons supermarket thread

Do you say the same when you pay for parking, or use a vending machine? How about bagging your shopping at a manned checkout? Or hell, going around the shop filling your trolley; surely that's the job of a worker no? No, because the technology works. Self checkout constantly needs approval for item...

Re: TV Live Forum Watch News and Information Board

Practical suggestion. Close the News board and/or limit discussion of news to the graphics and on screen presentation only; specifically ban discussion of journalism/journalists completely.

Re: Another High Street Rebrand

Given people still talk about 'British Rail', particularly when referring to things like the National Rail website, I wonder how much the first word of the new brand will be ignored.
