Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake

Locally the signs changed on Tuesday which was impressive. Yet my nearest store isn't on TGJones's website!

Only in the past couple of weeks has Weston-super-Mare got it's Toys-R-Us dual signage. Seems odd to have carried on with them that late only to have to change it again now.

If it's ...

To this day, I still have no idea what I did wrong.

Anyway, my question was about American toy company Hasbro's acquisition of Canadian multimedia company eOne, and I ended up posting it on Reddit . I got the first part answered ('Hasbro was larger than eOne, so eOne acquiring Hasbro was ...

Re: The TSB & Lloyds Bank relaunch news and information board

The Lloyds app start-up screen now shows that Lloyds, Halifax and Bank of Scotland are all part of the same family.

Given they're also allowing shared access to branches now, and Halifax seem to have stopped advertising, I wonder if we'll gradually see these brands (and perhaps MBNA) unified ...

Re: The Barclays and other non-Lloyds/TSB Bank thread

It's a bit strange that they made such a big deal about changing to Mastercard, only to roll it back again.

I'm half-tempted to 'lose' my Child & Co card to see what shows up, though it would probably just be exactly the same as my existing card.

It would be yes. Childs and Drummonds sort ...

Re: The Barclays and other non-Lloyds/TSB Bank thread

Are you sure the new card is Mastercard?

AIUI the Mastercard rollout has been stopped and card renewals are being sent with the same symbol as the expiring one. New customers are receiving a mix of Visa and Mastercard, partially dependent on which sort code they're allocated to.

Presume that's the end of Pepco clothing/home lines? In fact I wouldn't be surprised to see the clothing dropped altogether.

Re: Yet another Morrisons thread

I've noticed a few stores have started to get very utilitarian metal displays for produce. On first sight I thought they were left over from the 'misted veg' era but I'm pretty sure they're new.

One of those stores had a self service order terminal for the Pizza Counter, not unlike the ones ...

Re: The Tesco & other non-Morrisons supermarket thread

This issue has been bugging me for 20+ years. Aldi have a system of putting variants (e.g. flavours) of the same item under the same barcode and shelf space.

So how do they gauge supply/demand of each variant?

Recently they launched a range of Subway-inspired sauces: Sweet Onion, Chipotle Mayo ...
