Re: Who's for the chop?

There are two different UK arms of WHSmith, WHSmith High Street and WHSmith Travel (and a further division within Travel for stores in Moto service stations). Bail is right. Travel would remain if High Street died as it does quite well.

Re: Who's for the chop?

I really wish the Lib Dems would reinstate Kennedy. So what if he had a drink problem! The OAP currently at the top is completely useless. Knowing Kennedy had a drink problem made him human. I've always found him to be sincere and normal which is why I've always voted Lib Dems. Opinion polls say ...

All rather expensive too. You are right though, most of it is good stuff. I'd never buy lunch there though. You can end up paying £6 for a damp sandwich, drink, crisps and chocalate mousse. As a comparison, I bought a massive baguette filled with salad, ham and cheese, a bottle of ice tea, and a ...

I remember when the Beano was 21p. The oldest issue I have is from 1984, a year after I was born. Picked it up from a car boot.

That's just that page that hasn't been updated. The pages are updated by the departments. To clarify, the applications are collected centrally but are sent immediately to the HR offices of the specific depts.

About 2 months. It'll depend on what department/programme you'll be assigned to. Work experience applications aren't dealt with centrally. Candidates are chosen by the departments/programmes that want work experience people.

I bought a MacBook last year. It ran OK for two days before it broke. There have been a series of problems with the MacBooks although that was last year and I haven't heard of any reported problems recently so I imagine they've now been ironed out. Don't get me wrong, Macs are awesome. I'm typing ...
