I had a dream about a week ago that featured Anthony Blair standing in Downing Street announcing that he was leaving office with immediate effect.
The dream was so vivid - even the colour of his tie (a burgundy colour) - I felt like I was actually standing there watching him.
It makes me wonder when will he actually go. He announced last September that he would be gone within 12 months. Well, September is still 5 months away. Do you think Blair will go within the next few weeks or leave it until the last minute - perhaps over August bank holiday?
I reckon Blair will resign the morning after the local elections which is 2 weeks today on May 4th.
What do you reckon? Will you be sad or pleased to see him gone?
When will Blair go?

well, I will be glad to see him go. In his 10 years of power he has turned this place into a rut, and society has deteriorated at an alarming rate. But then again, we'll then have to put up with Gordon Brown, hopefully not for long though. He might take over the helm, but as soon as there is a general election he will be out on his big fat scottish fat arse. Hopefully we will get an honest, decent prime minister with only the country's best interests at heart. Pigs will fly too
Ronnie is victorious, vivacious in victory like a venomous dog. Vile Republicans cease living while the religious retort with rueful rhetoric. These rank thugs resort to violence and swear revenge.
But Ronnie can punch through steel so they lose anyway.

Even as a natural conservative, I find the prospect of Cameron becoming prime minister alarming. I really can't stand him.
I'd rather Gordon Brown as Prime Minister until the Conservatives install a proper leader who has honest convictions and who isn't a snotty-nosed stereotypical Tory-boy who doesn't even seem to have started shaving yet.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if TV Forums very own William Hanson becomes PM one day. No other 20-year-old wears a suit and tie as day-to-day clothing!

I suspect the announcement will be either after the election results (if they're particularly bad) or the week after - when the Northern Ireland Assembly resumes. He is due to be at Stormont with Bertie Ahern on May 8th. There may be an attempt to bathe in the glory of some sort of positive event in the hope we all forget the unmitigated disaster that is Iraq.
According to today's London Lite, he may be scheduled to leave in June, to quote from the London Lite:
Mr Blair braced himself for an onslaught from Eurosceptics today as he scrapped planes for a British referendum on a new EU treaty.
The Prime Minister is now set to approve a scaled-back European constitution in June - without letting the public have it say. He is widley expected to quit Downing Street only days later
The Labour party hasn't effected me badly at all, although I strongly disagreed with the Iraqi war, which is ultimately all Blair will be remembered for.
To be honest although I dislike Blair & don't trust Brown I'd rather have them two in than David "Photo Opportunity" Cameron or Menzies "Lib Dems Who?" Campbell, of which the former is a lying little shit and the latter out of touch.

I think under Charles Kennedy they may have done quite well in the next election, they certainly got more voters under his reign than under Paddy Ashdown.Ronnie Rowlands wrote:Don't worry about Lib Dem, they'll never win. they're not serious...are they? Although I am far from old enough to remember, the LibDems - or Liberals as they used to be called (and Labour/Conservative continue to call them as some sort of sneer) were the party of government or opposition for 250 years.Ronnie Rowlands wrote:Don't worry about Lib Dem, they'll never win. they're not serious...are they? I don't like Menzies Campbell, I don't like David Cameron very much, and I like the thought of Gordon Brown even less. Please will someone explain why Tony Blair is being ushered out of the door as "done his time" when Brown is older than him - surely time for someone younger not older.
I was brought up a conservative, but voted Labour in 1997 cos I wanted a change from peas!

I think Brown will be a disaster. There is no party leader I can think of that I would want to vote for. Labour & Conservative seem to say the same things now, so it will go on personalities, and neither leader has one!
