Just wondering. I don't think porn (gay or straight) is bad at all. At least some are decent.

But it may not be the case for the conservatives.

It's about time hard-core porn was shown on British TV. There is enough parental control built into a Sky box and such-like, for it not to be seen by children.

And I'm not just saying that because I want to see it, but because people should have a choice.

I've seen hard core porn on French television, and I was surprised at how unerotic and boring it was. But if you want to watch it, fair enough. The only thing is if you can be sure the actresses in it (actresses? artistes?) aren't being exploited. Well, obviously, they are if you subscribe to feminist theory, but I mean forced to do it directly rather than for more impersonal economic reasons. If you see what I mean.

God yeah, that reminds me of when I was staying over in France at my relatives. I was up late, and couldn't been more than about 11 years old. I was flicking through the channels as you do, and came across ( ) about 6 erect penises (peni ) on an erotic film.

I agree. If people don't like hardcore porn, they don't need to watch it. I'm not proposing it should start appearing on Channel 5 in the middle of the night, but I see nothing at all wrong with licenced hard core porn channels, as long as it is very clear what material they carry.

I think industry demand for hardcore porn on TV will soon increase anyway. These days, there is no reason at all to subscribe to the adult channel if you have the internet, because you can get the same and better for free (indeed there was no reason to subscribe to it before because the free German channels on Astra 1 carry softcore to the same level as our pay porn channels have - and the language barrier is hardly much of a problem when it comes to porn is it?).
