That whole BBC News thread is a binfire. Just constant bickering between BBC bashers and BBC bootlickers. There's no place for rational discussion and this three-day-long pissing match over that Traitors liveblog is beyond pathetic. And amongst all that everyone seems to have missed the news about the Singapore centre being restructured.

If anything, at least the Newsroom Movers and Shakers thread actually had useful information with no bickering which was closed, yet the BBC News thread is a mess which I tend to avoid.

It's on a par with early GB News conversations which the mods did the right thing in moderating.

Just found out my posts are now moderated... months after I stopped 'spamming' the international threads and popping up elsewhere.

God knows what I did wrong this time.

Never been there. Is it as much of a cesspool as DS and maybe old TVF?

Comic Relief just isn't the same without Tumble Tower's musings. It's a shame management didn't see fit to allow him on, just for one night.

Hi, I'm a new user here, but you may have seen me on Pres Café.

One day, I was trying to post a question in the Media Question Amnesty Thread, but I found myself unable to post. Turns out, the moderators moved my account to a primary user group called "Read-Only." To this day, I still have no idea what I did wrong. Is there a way to regain my posting ability?

Anyway, my question was about American toy company Hasbro's acquisition of Canadian multimedia company eOne, and I ended up posting it on Reddit. I got the first part answered ('Hasbro was larger than eOne, so eOne acquiring Hasbro was not a possible scenario.'), but the second part (How would advert-free public service broadcasters react to the news, now that the likes of Peppa Pig and PJ Masks are part of Hasbro's lineup of properties?) remains unanswered.

It sure is a mystery.
