I think the impression that a few people got from this forum, of being run by giddy schoolkids on their summer holidays, is accurate in the case of at least one of the mods - surely no adult is called "Nancer". It's such a weird, off-putting username.

The opening post in the ITV News thread is strangely worded don’t you think

This thread is for discussing the current breaking news from ITV News, but also for news of any presenter or correspondent either leaving, or making their ITV News debut. Do bare in mind with the latter that if they have previously worked for a Regional News programme for ITV, like ITV News Central for example, those outside of that region could be forgiven for thinking they are making their ITV debut.

Then the thread immediately moved into the tired ‘does anyone think it’s time ITV News got a new look’ line, that has been asked weekly for years(often by the same people), which put me off posting

I find it interesting that all the... colourful members have defected to TV Talk, whereas the more insightful members are generally on Pres Cafe. Having said that, both fora are pretty dead at the moment.

Why is James Martin allowed on the forum?
Initially, I objected to him being on the forum, however there are always 2 sides to every story. We have gone with the allow them but watch them approach and any breaking of the rules will result in disciplinary action.
The forum looks a bit basic

Would you consider merging with PresCafè?
Whilst we are always open to discussion, we do not currently plan to merge.
If PresCafè 'wins the forum battle', what happens to you?
We plan to be here for a long time to come!

You know, this two forum nonsense is really killing the discussion. A lot of the chat on TV Talk is so banal, and Pres Cafe is just... dead. Why anyone thought it was a good idea to have two very niche fora going head to head is beyond me.
