Language in songs on the radio

Randomly listening to a few stations online last night, I dropped on to Triple J in Australia's breakfast show. I was amazed to hear the DJ introduce a track with the words "this song contains the F word, so you might want to watch out". On Breakfast radio.

I wonder if the word is less offensive over there or if Aussie audiences are just less sensitive to such language? Or are we over-sensitive?

A community radio station once tried using the excuse that 'fuck' wasn't considered offensive in Scotland, but they didn't manage to convince Ofcom. Though their attempt to explain away some of the other language used in the same song might have had something to do with it.
