oh so does silverlink no longer have delivery drivers at it because it was an absolute nightmare last time i went? You really felt you were inconveniencing the drivers by daring to use at is a restaurant.

Subway is the one that has been most mullered by adding delivery in, in my experience. It used to be you could walk up and just expect it to take 2 mins + 1 min for each customer ahead of you. Now you can see an empty counter but still have a 10 min wait while they put several delivery orders together.
McDonalds new format restaurants pre-date delivery. ISTR the initial outcome of the investment were those 'signature' thicker burgers, which I liked but didn't seem to do so well. I've always found their restaurants to be very unpredictable in terms of wait times, they seem to worsen. the fewer customers they have to server.

Honestly, not too sure but I know you can't order online from the place at all. It's only 'Silverlink 2' now on UberEats etc. Believe they opened it when they had a massive refurb a year or so and just kept it.
The postcode for Silverlink 2 on the justeat website is a bit of land near the recycling centre in Howdon. Wonder if its over there.

Seems they're admitting there's a problem. Just heard an ad for "small improvements to our classic burgers" where they boast they are now searing them to make them "even juicier" and "serving them hotter for meltier cheese"...Andrew Wood wrote: ↑Mon 18 Mar, 2024 11.49Nothing could beat a quarter pounder with cheese that had been stuck in the production bin for way over the 10 minute maximum holding time. Hot all the way through and the cheese just oozing.

I wonder exactly how the process has changed.
Now, if only my local McD would stop specialising in cold fries.

It really is the luck of the draw if you get warm fries or not. If they've been left out for a while, they are stone cold.scottishtv wrote: ↑Sun 28 Apr, 2024 14.25Seems they're admitting there's a problem. TVF's London Lite.
If you customise them to remove the salt, you usually get freshly cooked ones, to which you can add your own salt.Martin Phillp wrote: ↑Sun 28 Apr, 2024 16.38It really is the luck of the draw if you get warm fries or not. I had a "new" Big Mac the other day and found it to be slightly worse than it previously was. Not much worse, but a bit. I possibly wouldn't have noticed had I not specifically gone to try what they've been advertising so much.
It feels like there's something a bit more to it. They talked in the press release about it changing in its 50th year in the UK and yet they haven't made anything of that in their advertising.
Could be that they're using cheaper ingredients and different ways of using/cooking the ingredients that haven't changed (the onions, lettuce and cheese). Or could it be related in some way to the new Brexit import checks that have finally come in at the about the same time as this change?

I believe so. Big Mac, Quarter Pounder, Cheeseburger, Double Cheeseburger, and Hamburger, I think. McPlant already was different to the others.
So I've been on holiday to Tenerife, and I have to say that Spanish McDonalds is better than British McDonalds, in my opinion. Their Mcflurrys are much more customisable than what we have here, they offer quite a few food and drink items we don't have. The only thing they lack that I like are the Chicken Selects, but they have a better selection of chicken sandwiches, potato wedges, and serve alcohol.
