on my 'recommend for you' thing on the google play store there was an app called 'flightradar 24', it looked pretty interesting so i downloaded it.

Image

it gives a real time view of pretty much every plane in the air (u.s. planes have a slight delay and some countries don't have any data, but for most of everywhere else, it's there, in real time) and i was pretty astounded by the number planes in the sky at any one time, genuinely amazed. i look at the above image and it's pretty mind boggling really, don't you think?

At DVBCornwall's recommendation, I used the web-based version to track the Olympic Flame's plane when it flew from Athens to Culdrose.
