i don't normally really suffer from hayfever - usually around september time i feel like i've got a bit of a cold and i get the sneezes and then i'm fine after a few days.

but this year, i've never had it so bad - itchy eyes, itchy throat, itchy inner ears, nose blocked, headache, dry cough, the first time ever i've had to take antihistamine tablets and i've had to give up wearing my contact lenses for a few days.

it seems to be a bit better now, anybody else suffering more than usual too?

I used to suffer a lot as a kid, but I've been fine for a number of years now. I did hear that this year is meant to have been the longest for several years. This is one of a handful of news stories about it.

PS - Has your suffering stopped you from using capital letters in posts? ;)

ah, that explains it. must have missed that story. i'm afraid the lowercase typing is due to laziness on my part and i find lowercase letters are easier to read.
