Not unique to Sainsbury's, but I've noticed a new shrinkflation trick in the Laundry aisle.
Ariel liquitabs are now adding the 'number of washes' indicator as a separate sticker to the box rather than it being printed directly on the box as part of the normal packaging design (as it has been in the past).
This clearly makes it quicker and easier to remove a liquitab without having to use up stocks of pre-printed boxes.

There's also shrinkflation on the 12 pack 500ml still water packs by using the cheaper plastic bottles that are easier to squash.
TVF's London Lite.
That was more to do with them changing suppliers. They used to use Highland Spring which is decent water to the utter rubbish in Staffordshire which is usually used in the likes of ASDA Smart Price. Horrid stuff now with a nasty after taste.Martin Phillp wrote: ↑Tue 23 May, 2023 19.13 There's also shrinkflation on the 12 pack 500ml still water packs by using the cheaper plastic bottles that are easier to squash.

Yes, Sainsbury's own brand is now what is also packaged as Elm Spring in Iceland from the Chase Spring in Staffs.Zimba wrote: ↑Tue 23 May, 2023 20.10That was more to do with them changing suppliers. Radox have changed their 250ml bottles to 225ml now, and in the process got rid of the rather nice integrated hanger their previous bottles had. Wilko were selling off the old 250ml botles for 30p last week, managed to get enough to last me a few years.

I noticed on Thursday that the J James cooked meat was now Stamford Street. I tried out the chicken which seems to be a slightly better quality compared to the previous moniker.

Probably just a better pack vs a worse one, always some variance with meat and fish. Very unlikely this many ranges have actually changed (packaging aside) at once.Martin Phillp wrote: ↑Fri 26 May, 2023 23.25 I noticed on Thursday that the J James cooked meat was now Stamford Street. June 13th was the last day for the remaining Lloyds Pharmacy concessions in Sainsbury's.
