Haven't posted a technical query for a good few days, so I thought I'd post one...

I've just tried to follow the battery calibration steps on my new Macbook Air. I drained the battery, then started charging again, but then realised about an hour later that I was supposed to leave it asleep for five hours before fully charging it agaim. I've unplugged the charger and it's asleep, albeit with some charge in it and I've just decided to plug it back in.

Should I carry on charging, leave it to sleep, or repeat the whole routine? ...or something else?

If that means you've interrupted the process laid out in an edict of St Steve then you'll probably have to charge it back up, use it for a bit and start the whole shebang again.

You should only need to calibrate a battery when you notice it won't stay charged as long as it used to, say after three months or so. There should be no need to do it from new, unless it's been unfortunate enough to sit on a shelf in a factory somewhere for months on end and decayed naturally.
