Vodafone are shit

Fed up now, so I'm going to use the power of Metropol (in conjunction with google bots) to make sure everyone knows Vodafone are SHIT.

Still waiting for the phone I ordered online on 13 April. I got an email last week to say it would be delivered by the end of the week (last week), yet still nothing.

I call the tracking number and discover it is disconnected. I call the "thinking of joining Vodafone" and its answered in a heartbeat - by the snottiest man I have ever spoken to.

He was utterly rude. He spoke over me, was sarcastic - and at one point, when I said I didn't understand, he said, "*sigh* - do you want me to repeat myself..?".

Absolutely shocking. This is how you gain new customers? He told me that my phone "hasn't even been ordered yet - when it is you can track it, yeh?". I told him I will cancel and he gave me a number to call to do it - which is also disconnected.

Am going to see if I can find an alternative this evening, and will cancel my order using the "cooling off period".

Never mind cooling off, I'm positively glacial.

VODAFONE ARE SHIT.

I agree, they are terrible. My father uses them and is always mixed up in something or other, overcharging, terrible customer service etc.

I advise the use of this form. Whenever he's used it in the past things do seem to get resolved, but slowly. If you're still livid, it's very easy to get hold of their CEOs email address online.

PS. If you can, still get yourself a HTC Desire as they are fabby.

Thanks - found that page earlier on.

Had a walk, smoked a cigarette and decided to try again with a cooler demeanour. Young lady this time explained more thoroughly that their deliveries have been (obviously) mucked about, and she went off to check on updated times.

She said twice as many phones as normal will arrive tomorrow; will be checked; and then dispatched.

So we'll see.

I have nothing else to judge this company on other than their ambassadors on the phone - and if this "Mark" I spoke to first is representative, then I'm really nervous about signing up to 18 months of them as a provider.

I'm still going to go shopping later and see if I can find someone else to spend my money with.

O2 have updated their website. They have apologised on the O2 Blog and said that it would now be "mid-May" when the HTC Desire would be available. They've published the tarriffs.

Vodafone is offering 900 mins instead of 600 as a "web exclusive" for £35 on an 18 month, so they *are* more competitive than the table above.

Which is annoying, otherwise I might have given 02 my money.

No harm in asking if they'll match :)

Annoyingly, their tariffs are quite good, same as T Mobile. However, they are both blessed with terrible customer service. I'm rather tempted to join that O2 £25 deal though.

*little impressed noise*

Yes, you're right I should ask.

Better pop into the shops on the way home and pick up an O2 PAYG free SIM to make sure I can get reception in Scott Mansions.

My best friend has one and I steal it pretty much every day so I can play with it. SO THERE. I am not privileged, like you.
