Can they not ship a couple of million over to Australia, with its significant underpopulation, or am I being far too simplistic here?
What is the reason for the irregularity though? Does the selective abortion mean that people are choosing not to have girls, or is there more to it than that? Seems strange - what is the ratio of male to female in general? I was under the impression (perhaps wrongly) that there were slightly more females on the planet than males.
