New Year Hotels

Am staying in a rather nice Radisson hotel at the moment over New Year, and must say I was pleasently suprised when I got back in to the room this morning (01/01/10).

Not only had they come in and turned down the bed, put a little choccie on the pillow (can't beat a Mint Crisp), but on the table they'd left a 250ml bottle of Bollinger champagne, a small packet of Neurophen tablets and a bottle of Evian with a little note saying 'With compliaments and all the best for 2010 from the team here at Radisson'

I think that was a nice little idea.

Plus, after coming back from the shopping today they'd even been in the room and swapped the old CRT TV for a nice shiny B&O plasma one, with the extremely expensive B&O remote to go with it. Still lists the BBC News Channel as BBC News 24 though on a shiny red dot-matrix down the right hand side of the telly.

So thank you Radisson, for making my New Year start with a bang, and does anybody have any spare paraceatamol tablets???

Sounds lovely. It's the little gestures beyond the expected which I always appreciate.

A mint and a glass of pop?

You're a cheap date, Row ;)
