Should be fine. DMX also uses a balanced line with shield like audio, but requires more bandwidth than audio so the cable needs to be of a tighter spec (hence DMX on audio cable is a no-no). Digital audio requires an even higher spec, so those cables are suitable for analogue audio, digital audio and DMX.

Just a quicky - I know nothing about the difference in quality of a DMX cable and a balanced XLR cable, but I was wondering whether a cheap and cheerful DMX cable with 2x 3 pin XLR plugs at either end will be good enough quality to carry analogue audio or whether the reason it's cheaper than a shorter length of XLR cable is because it's no good for that job. An ideas chaps? And chappettes.
Thanks in advance.
What length do you need Nignog?
Got a 10m floating about if you need it.

No bother at all. Were I still in my last job I would have had all flavours to offer, but such is life.

Not expensive at least.
