toshiba rdxv59dt DVD VCR HDD Combi

Has anyone used one of these?
My old DVD VCR combi has died recently & I still have a fair few 1x 2x DVD - RW blank discs to use & would like to know if I can use these discs in that machine?
Or can anyone recommend a machine that is least the following spec :
VCR / DVD recorder combined that is compatible initially with 1x 2x DVD - RW discs & advice on what higher blank discs to buy subsquently?
HDD & Freeview not essential !
