They've got me.

I got an email yesterday from Betfair offering me a free £10 bet. You have to deposit a tenna to get this, but I thought I'd do it.

My first bet was on Arsenal to beat Blackburn. I won.

Second was Ireland to beat Scotland at the rugby (although I would have preffered Scotland to have beat Ireland). I won

Today was Chelsea to beat Man City. Not a touch choice.

This got me up to £30 in my account. This being the £10 deposited, £10 free bet, and winnings.

I've now put the lot on Spurs to beat Villa.

Personally I don't follow much sport, but the last twenty minutes of the latter is getting my complete attention!

Obviously this could be the presipist of a slippery slope, but so far so good! Famous last words...

Agreed, unless you factor in the fact that some people enjoy gambling. In which case it's just paying for enjoyment, isn't it?
