Hmmm, doesn't sound right, does it. Is it all the power used by google's datacentres, your computer and everything in between? Is it all divided up by the the typical number of clients also attached and doing things concurrently? It sounds, and I can't find the method anywhere, like they've worked out the rate of power consumption of the average internet user and google and multiplied it by 0.2 seconds, the typical google search time.

I read about it earlier and I thought it sounded like bollocks too. We're not the only ones.
