He's pretty quick on his feet!


Maybe it's me, but I thought he quite looked like he was enjoying himself. That's a nice plus point he's got in my books. Lots of negatives, but one little bit of solace for him at the end!

Actually, it's an Arab insult. If you remember when the US invaded Iraq, many Iraqis were seen throwing old shoes on toppled statues, portraits and other monuments of Saddam Hussein. To throw shoes at someone is a sign of great disrespect in Arab cultures.

Not that it would win you many favours in Western societies either, of course.

Don't know why you're giving him "credit". It was hardly an acrobatic manoeuvre. He was staring right at his assailant as he reached for his shoe.
