The rubbish from the "karma" thread has now been split off into this thread - in kindness to rts of course who started a genuinely insightful thread which seems the need to be hijacked.

Malpass I've tried to give you several tips on how to survive on internet forums like this but you're not taking my advice on board. Which is fine, but don't expect any sympathy from others when you get the backlash. You might be young and yes you may have received a certain amount of criticism from people like Nini BUT this is a prime example of why you'll get the trouble thrown right back at you. There was no need to try and turn this into an "aren't I so hard done to?" thread.

Just think on.

However I do feel that the constant changing of subject in threads - a thread goes from talking about (say) a new mod, to how idiotic I may be - is irritating at best.

Well at this stage I would say that you should rise above it. Don't respond with any silliness and just contribute to the threads where there is something worth saying. Over time, if you go the right way about it, you'll not face any trouble.

Just my take on things anyway.

Malpass, I can appreciate the difficulty you face in integrating into a board of very strong characters; but in time it will come to pass.

My advice would echo Ison's. Contribute to the topics on topic, and avoid entering into spats regarding your relationships with others here. In that way you'll find your contributions will sit more easily with others - and you won't become known as the new member who rubs others up the wrong way.

Chin up, best foot forward and be patient. One can't expect to be a "regular" overnight - but it will be soon, and for the rest of your life.
