right, I'm fed up of being a mod, I'm fed up of bile in my inbox, I'm fed up of people implying I abuse my power and I'm fed up of morons on tvf thinking that just because I run the server this place is automatically evil.

I'm also fed up of chie, but that's another story.

so in other words, I'm not being a mod anymore. i'll still keep the server running but it's quite possible for me to turn off my access to the mod controls whilst retaining the little bits and bobs i need to refresh the theme and upgrade the software, so that's what I'll be doing.

expect replacement to be named shortly, the secret forum are meeting at 20.10, ms hart presiding...

Sad news, but I know the feeling all too well. It's unfortunate that some people just don't understand how tough it is to run a successful website like this.

The point is, you do what you have to do. I have no qualms with most of the moderation from any of the 3 main mods on the board but this all seems rather sudden.

If people are leaving you bile, gently remind them that if they dislike the moderation on the forum, they may make a small donation towards its running, or else, fuck off.

as I've had a few queries about whether i'm having a nervous breakdown / pissing off completely or whether the idiots on tvf have finally cracked me, i thought i'd make my position a bit clearer

I'm not leaving, i've not gone mental and I've not been cracked.

What I am however is bored of being treated different because I'm theoretically a mod even through the board has precious little modding and of that I do barely any aside from banning trolls.

Yet despite this it's always "oh hyma will reach for that ban button" "oh hyma will do this / do that" when of course I won't

You then have people on the other place coming out with shite like "i won't join metro whilst hyma is a mod" well why bloody well not, it's not as if I do anything. Please, someone, name times when I've abused my power? I can think of two things in total that could be highlighted but IMO don't count.

1. banning TT is the only big thing I did and that was because we decided that he was either a troll or if not, it was for his own good
2. mucking about with chie's avatar after he accused me of being a sudanese refugee because I *dared* try to remove the blue tint from it.

aside from that, what have I ever done? My modding on here has consisted nearly entirely of fixing tech bugs, resetting passwords, banning trolls, banning JM, moving/deleting libelous spam and the odd bit of tidying up people who've messed up their quoting tags. Yet I am still painted over there as this ghastly Beth Hart character who revels in destroying everyone.

Well no I'm fed up, I make this site work on a technical level because i find it enjoyable and that is the reason I had mod powers, to run the software, not to endure this crap.

I thought this subject header meant we were getting a dedicated pc help forum.
