The Newfie stations are far better further up the east coast.

The MW bands here are quite crowded...the furthest I can get is Toronto usually, which is about 400 miles from NYC.

And I thought hearing crystal clear Radio Scotland half-way up a Welsh valley in a car was impressive.
Best piece of serendipity I ever had in the car was catching RTE Radio 1 on some remote LW number all the way from Blackwood to Brecon. We were looking for a station carrying the Ireland-Scotland Six Nations match. Made our day.

Hi sorry for the late reply.
252 for RTE Radio 1 is not to bad up here at the top of Gwent near Brynmawr, although its MW signal was far better during the day when they had it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3-Z7Nqr7Ogg WBZ in Boston just an ID heard then went, luckily I was recording through my microphone in.

Do any other stations than CHUM and CFRB make it from Toronto?
WINS and CFRB often battle for 1010 at night right?
