Car crash tv

We were in utter shock when watching a certain incident on This morning yesterday at work. I can't remember being so shocked at something live in my time there (possibly other than hearing the late Tony Wilson rip into his cameramen during a live bulletin when the faders should have been down).
The interview is all over youtube now, although surprisingly doesn't seem to have been mentioned in the other place!

What's your most memorable bit of car crash tv? I'm not sure whether this one will live on in memory, or just wash over like the rest of Kerry's career!

I loved the "concern" that apparently her publicist Max Clifford had showed and claimed he knew "nothing about Kerry going on this morning".

Of course.

David Blaine on GMTV. Or, remember last week's interview with Salma Hayek? Eamonn Holmes can't interview a lump of shit.

She seems to be clenching her jaw and grinding her teeth slightly, which (having studied psychology) is a characteristic side effect of antipsychotic medication. She refered to Promazine, which is used to treat bi-polar, and it's common knowledge that she suffers from this disorder.

I don't agree with the way Phil decided to interrogate her over it because he knew she'd become defensive about it and it would make good telly. 'Oooh no you are, Kerry. There's a big difference. The whole nation thinks you're an alcoholic' FFS, she was there to promote a series, no to be humiliated, patronised and made to feel like a weirdo on live TV. The poor woman's had a bad enough time as it is.

Phil kept quiet for quite some time, and only interjected knowing full well that if bods at ITV were calling Gallery, viewers at home would be watching the same thing. It was going to become a big story anyway. I think what he said was more out of concern, than some sinister plot to sustain negative publicity.

I question the judgement of anyone who let her go ahead with the interview in the first place. She cleary isn't well, needs more time to rest and recuperate, and an appearance on This Morning was not going to help anything.

Now, I can't control the wider media (much as I like to think), but could Metropoliers please desist from using the "H" word in the context of Kerry appearing on telly out of her chops?

Drinking and/or taking drugs of whatever type isn't exactly good for one's wellbeing, sure, but to say "concerns for Kerry's health" seem a little OTT to me.

Yes, she's a car crash. She should probably dump that loser she's married to and sack Max Clifford for a dereliction of duty; but please - getting smashed and slurring your words does not a "health crisis" make.

Its not as if she's new to these habits, she's just foolish to party before a morning TV appearance.

She could do with people round her who genuinely are putting her interests first - both professionally and personally.

But "health scare"? I think not.

She's my most hated celebrity, Grindon! That's why we celebrate this news.

*fact attack* I used Kerry Katona in a comparison to Luther the reformation and the reformation yesterday at uni.

Yep, I'm using "celebrity" with the contempt it deserves, but at least those other people have done SOME things that might be considered decent and they're not manufactured fluff in the same way katona is.

FASCINATING FACT: I'm in the facebook group "A kerry katona free world by 2008". It's a little behind schedule but things are looking promising.

There was a really good interview with Philip Schofield on chris moyles this morning - allowing Philip to give his side of the story. Chris let him speak for a good 10-15 min and took the subject very seriously. I was very impressed.
