ClearType Improvement Rumours

I know this isn't a Tech Forum but I was rather eager to share this discovery which I noticed while browsing the IEBlog. I have Googled about it but found nothing, so it could all be an elaborate hoax crafted in Photoshop. But the screenshots definitely don't look like mockups.

Forget the rather tedious content, but have a look at the Font Rendering in those screenshots. Annoyingly, the images have been scaled down from their native size; but from what I can see, it's very Apple Like. If this is what ClearType will be like in the next version of Windows, I'm very pleased.

It matches the revised direction of their Windows Mobile 6.1 platform's font rendering, too, which has also opted for a more Apple-esque style.

So, they're moving from hinting to actual vector point rendering? Good though I can see people complaining just like they did when they first saw the "fuzzy" rendering from Safari for Windows.
