I got the new Argos catalogue yesterday while buying a new phone, and blimey how small is it now! I need a microscope to read it, or at least a relative with better eyes than I have now!

You haven't included an obligatory photograph of you holding it.

The previous two catalogues started off the normal size then shrunk towards the end of their seasons, this must have been some kind of trial as I believe this current one launched with the more compact catalogue.

Seeing as I don't shop in Argos anymore (thanks to the whole downmarket chavvy thing they have... and Amazon) I only remember it being large enough to compete with a phonebook then it shrank to a stupidly small size. That was around 2001 though when I quit being interested and Index was still around so I'm imagining it's roughly the size of a paperback now.

Unlike the Argos Catalogue, the Next Directory is going in the opposite direction, more volumous every year and comes bound like a volume of the Encyclopedia Britannica. And then of course you pay for the privilige too.

As you can see, the catalogue is 1.5x as big as the DVD, and about 3x as thick.
