90 Degree Rotated Monitors

I am slowly being tempted into getting a monitor that can rotate 90 degrees. A portrait orientation seems a lot better for web browsing and word processing - in fact everything except watching video.

Take a look at these pics:

Metropol in particular looks aesthetically pleasing in portrait view, I love how the entire posting page exactly fits on the screen. Other web pages look similarly good at this resolution.

I haven't actaully got around to doing this at home yet; firstly I enjoy my dual-display setup, and secondly there is the distinct disadvantage that ClearType looks blurry when rotated since the coloring gets done on now-vertical pixels (so you have to either put up with the blurriness or disable ClearType, both of which are annoying to have to do). It may well be possible to buy monitors that actually are this resolution (rather than having to rotate the monitor and display with the graphics card), which would solve the ClearType problem.

But I have been thinking I could plausibly rotate one of my two monitors.

Has anyone else been tempted to go down this path?

I had that exact setup at "work" when I was writing a lengthy document. The only problem I had (aside from mockery) was that my shitty dell's weak-ass graphics took a performance hit, so the horizontal drawing rate was horrid.
