So, MG is reporting about how this advert for Heinz's weird mayo has been pulled because it's got two men kissing, citing complaints that found it "offensive" and "inappropriate for children to see"

What the fuck? I was expecting them to get off with each other they way it's carrying on. If anything it's EXACTLY what you'd want to show kids - that it's acceptable and possible to have that kind of relationship and family life in these supposedly enlightened times.

I mean, they pulled what was a fairly decent add for less than one second of a simulated kiss? Fuck off. Nonetheless, guarantee that sales will go up due to this little storm in a teacup.

I know I shouldn't have, but I went on the Daily Mail comments section and saw that there've been 200 complaints and people glad it's been pulled so they wouldn't have to explain to their kids the complicated notion of "sometimes men love each other".

Actually, going to the Daily Mail crowd would have at least got you to the source. 200? Pfft, why must they hate love?

It has to be said (and I'm assuming you mean this article), that many of the comments are quite level headed, and shock horror, in disagreement with the ad being pulled*. For the standard Maily fodder that this story is, this is really quite an achievement. Of course you still get a hearty fill of some standard "Mrs Angry, Tunbridge Wells, UK (not EU)" type comments:

Well, my latest reading put 9-10 out of 21 as definitively negative towards the ad. For Mail levels of angry-ness, that's a damn fine 50%ish positive-or-neutral ratio, there isn't even a blame it on Gordon Brown/NuLabour comment yet!

Oh i liked that ad. I hate Mayo but that ad did make me chuckle.
