just wondering about how your browser is laid out and what plugins you use to enhance your web experience.

my layout is pretty standard, hidden the search box and menu bar, i do my web searching from the address bar with keywords, so "g midget porn" will search google for midget porn and "w eggnog" would search wikipedia for eggnog etc.

I have a lot of plugins - including Adblock, a handy window resizer which is useful when making websites and so on, and also the Glasser plugin which I installed after Hyma mentioned it a few months ago. (Yep, I'm currently using the Fx Beta).

I've never really found all these addons to be all that useful. I just keep my toolbars to a minimum and block popups. Having said that, adblock would be lovely if it's able to block those horrible floating adverts that come and cover everything you're trying to read.

Yeah, them's a lot of add-ons. I is a plug-in junkie. If you're wondering, these are near enough the same as on my MBP and I know Adblock Plus exists, just prefer the low-key stylings of Adblock.

Hmm, I am a boring fart who believes that the fewer add-ons the better hwen web browsing. Thus I only have the most important ones (Adobe Flash, etc) installed and nothing else. I used to use the Google Toolbar but got fed up with that hogging my valuable vertical screen space, and of the search box duplication.

So yes, it couldn't be more boring if it tried... but on the plus side, my browser never crashes (touch wood).

Mine have a practical use and will take that over the spartan choices some like which I can totally see.. ish... if it was portable or something.

But it's good for you though, really! Works doesn't it?

I can't show you my browser as I'm still on the laptop after my PSU exploded and I was informed quite firmly "don't put your stupid firefox beta on my laptop". Essentially its FF3 with the glasser extension and a row of favicons inbetween the Go button and the google box.

However, a question for Lobster. Isn't the functionality of session save and download statusbar not now (at least partly) replaced by firefox 3 itself?

the reason i use(d) session manager is that it allows me to save a bunch of tabs and windows that i can restore easily - i 've got a number of sessions like 'News', 'Forums', 'Technology' which open up all the sites i visit in those categories automatically. i use it less and less these days but i still use the feature occasionally.
