What an arsehole he is. I really hate this guy. He's the ultimate example of a has-been who's become so consumed with greed and self-importance that he's lost the plot.

Footballer turned TV pundit Ian Wright has said he no longer wishes to work at the BBC, claiming he was made "a comedy jester" by the corporation.
If my memory serves me correctly, in the last year alone he's done TV ads for:

1. Asda (where he makes a knob of himself)
2. Kelloggs (where he makes a knob of himself)
3. Chicken Tonight (where he makes a knob of himself)
4. Ladbrokes (where he makes a knob of himself)
5. Nintendo Wii (where he makes a knob of himself)

.......and presented Big Brother's Big Mouth, and Big Brother Celebrity Hijack, and made numerous other appearances on third rate shows. And he's just been signed up to advertise Mars bars.

He made himself into a comedy jester by doing all that pisspoor grubby advertising work for junk food, gambling and video games to line his pockets.

But ironically he's having a pop at BBC - the only people who offered him any real, respectable work as a football pundit. It's not their fault he was too thick and inarticulate to come up with any decent post-match analysis and could only make spluttering noises and wild gesticulations.

I completely agree he has himself to blaime, look at those piss poor tv shows he did about 5 years ago. he put on the jesters costume, and forgot to take it off.

I always thought he was one of the weaker pundits on MOTD anyway. won't miss him one little bit.

Seen as he's one of the presenters on the new Gladiators, lets hope sky sports don't snap him up as a pundit, or to that matter ITV when they get the FA Cup and England games next year.

To me it sounds more like the fact he was told he wouldn't be needed as much because we won't be showing as much football next season.

So this isn't an Ian Wright, Wright, Wright appreciation thread then.

Shame! I was gonna bang on about watching him score at Highbury back in the day. Oh those North bank days! *sighs*
