I feel compelled to tell you all that I've been watching this guy's show online for a while now and I really am starting to think he's one of the fabbest american comedians/satirists/entertainers that I've ever seen. I squealed at his attempt to become president then had gaspies the other day when he did a duet of "the girl is mine" with John Legend, complete with Macca's 80s outfit from the record cover. It's SO MUCH FABBER than the Daily Show, which is just a bit too self-congratulatory in a serious way, whereas his show is self-congratulatory in a genuinely funny way. And he seems frickin' intelligent to boot.

Anyway, yes, zuffling complete.

I've never seen Colbert but The Daily Show is fab.

Their editing at the Daily Show/Colbert Report crossover is terrible. I wonder if More4 will ever pick it up. How does The Daily Show do in the ratings?

I have no idea, probably not all that well. I think Colbert has broader appeal as there seem to be fewer american references and more emphasis on the character. The Comedy Central website's really very good. You get pretty much the entire episode (although it's interjected with adverts for grotesquely unhealthy food) in reasonable quality.

I'm inclined as I usually watch The Colbert Report by more arr methods to ask if they advertise pancake sausages.

As for Colbert, fuck yes he's very good but sadly Stewart's somewhat self-effacing style wins out for me. How much fabber though can be measured like how you can measure air or a piece of string.

Big fan of Colbert... Even bigger fan of The Daily Show. The problem with Colbert is that he's just too realistic that it's actually depressing. I mean, you watch his show, and then you flick over to Fox News, and it's more like he's mimicking than satirising.

First saw Stephen Colbert on Whose Line US? He's rather good at what he does. I too watch his show online, and find it hilarious.

Oh he was awesome oh whose line. That's what makes me think he's fab all-round.
