Musical Horns and other random annoyances

I include other random annoyances in the thread title to justify the existence of this otherwise highly petty thread. And New Metropol is not a petty place.

Anyway.

Some fucker is playing one of these things continuously. I suspect they are driving up and down the cowley road just to annoy me.

Why the hell do they all play dixie, anyway? It's weird. There are vaguely more annoying song snippets to play, as well as less annoying, so it's a sort of median. That said I am rapidly growing to hate dixie.

Wait... some numpty has got a musical horn which plays Dixie?

Now?

In the 21st Century?

And not embarrassed by that fact? Psch.

Haven't heard any musical horns in 10 years or more besides the ice cream van around our part. Thinking on it though, I could handle La Cucaracha as that's fairly short and always sounds out of tune. Not 20 times in a row up and down a street nearby mind but a short blast from a quarter mile will do.

I suppose it could be an ice cream van, attempting to attract the local yobs.

It's not terribly likely though! :)

Our ice cream man is the only one that I've seen that sells ice cream in the winter when it's snowing and then sells hot chocolate in the summer. He also drives at 30 mph on the whole of the B3400 which is kinda priceless when you have a 1.4 diesel engine going about 10 miles an hour.

One of the guys in the flat above us got bagpipes for christmas >_>
Naturally, many fabulously sleepless nights ensue.

The guy in the flat above me has a tendency to blast Amy Winehouse out of his speakers at night. Naturally, I no longer like Amy Winehouse's music.

I'm assuming you naturally don't like this guy either!

Well as Sput is well aware, I have the Chinese late night door slamming and foot stomping Olympic team living above me. Generally the start of their door slamming is the signal for my bed time.

Also, I live next door to the local shop, which insists on having their deliveries at 6am in the bloody morning.

Would that be because the local residents insit on newspapers, fresh milk, sandwiches etc? otherwise you could get the locals to buy day old papers, old milk and sandwiches, and they could deliver at say 3pm?
