Metropol

While the new Metopol is fab in design, its radical increase in code complexity, CSS use and page size makes it a real slug to browse on my PDA. Also as we know mobiles are not totally compatible with all advanced styles etc, and make lots of nasty compromises to resize the page to a small screen which makes a mess of the design (think lots of grey on brown, weird graphics etc).

I realise there are lucky people with unbelievably snazzy expensive phones that handle advanced CSS and page scaling with style, but sadly I am not one of those people.

*SO*: I was wondering if Hyma would kindly consdier creating a "Metropol Lite" that just ran the forum under a very basic skin. This would make mobile metrobrowsing much more enjoyable.

There are a few ways of potentially implementing this. I'll try them out in a week or so.

Currently I just load my desktop environment using WM Terminal Services which gets around most rendering issues, but that's still a hassle and not ideal to navigate.
