I love listening to the internet radio stations at work - there are so many of them to choose from in dozens of different genres.

What are your favourites? I like ambient/chill-out music myself and would recommend these to you lucky people...

181.fm ChillOut*
Soma FM
1.FM Chillout Lounge
radioioAMBIENT

* This one is the best, imo, as occasionally the others descend into plinky-plonky crap and pseudo-jazz bollox.

Caroline (at radiocaroline.co.uk)
Club 977 The 80s Channel

Used to do a lot of it last year, lost the will somehow. The station folding didn't help either.

They're not really "radio" if they come down wires, are they?

Pedant of Wiltshire here!

Yes, they're really "radio", but not exactly "wireless".

Oh, and by the way, Timbo should be on at 8pm.

I think that if it were still going, Neon Radio (U.K., don't forget) would be my favourite (5 Years Old last year)

But maybe that is because it is (was?) on-air 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in Stereo.

(do I get a prize for mentioning the great Alldritt first? It had to be done.)

I like to listen to XM Radio Flight 26 (through Winamp) - the best mix of music, with no commercials.
Weekdays from 4pm-7pm on Andover Radio
Overton Radio: Weekdays 2pm-4pm, Weekends 8am-10am

Radio 10 Gold from the Netherlands is great, mostly 80s stuff including things that never seem to get any airplay here, and occasional euro cheeziness. You'll be singing the jingles in no time.

I usually just listen to Radio 1 online, it's my favourite station.

Well, that's really broadened my knowledge, I didn't know it existed. Thank goodness this thread was created.

The thread was called "favourite online radio stations," not "best new online radio stations."

Now shut up.

you have been here since the site's inception and you have every right to make such remarks. Oh wait, you don't.
Ronnie is victorious, vivacious in victory like a venomous dog. Vile Republicans cease living while the religious retort with rueful rhetoric. These rank thugs resort to violence and swear revenge.

But Ronnie can punch through steel so they lose anyway.
