Rob Francis Blog-iarism *scandal*

I am *shocked* to have noticed that a much-loved member of this very forum has a blog which is not only incredibly dull, but also consists almost entirely of posts snatched from other people's blogs.

I am, of course, talking about Rob Francis, a.k.a. rfrancis51284

The coincidental "similarities" are uncanny...

Them's some nice sleuthing there, cdd. I'd call Francisgate open if I could so assume I have, someone has some 'splaining to do.

I concur Lorns. Ready the gallows, sharpen the rusty filleting knife. Bring your knitting and those cackling friends of yours! ;) I'll warm the seats right infront of the scaffold for you.

Can we be certain that "Doreen Sweeny" isn't Rob's 'weekend' name

Rest assured - the sucking of wind heard across the nation is a collective yawn, not a shocked gasp. Bloggers plagiarise all the time.

oh do go away.

i know nob francis has had a multitude of websites over the years and has never been backward in coming forward when it came to publicising them. it was apparent that they were all largely devoid of content, but i'm surprised he stooped this low. he always seemed rather harmless.

I have a feeling that Rob will simply not post on the forum until this thread has sunk down the list rather than face up to it. Of course, now I've said it he will claim that it would never even enter his mind.

We can test that theory by making the thread sticky. It's very odd thing to do to steal someone's blog posts when they're of no substance.

I am sorry this happened, and I have now removed the offending articles. I would appreciate an end to this discussion now.

Thank you.
