Yay for Expensive Skincare Products!

I just got ID'd for a packet of cigarettes! I'm a whole adult age person older than I need to be.

I really thought he was joking but he assured me he wasn't. I feel fan-fucking-tastic!

I called my buddy to tell him this but he's not answering so here's a thread dedicated to my happy event.

Awww ;) , bless!! The experience has clearly made your day!

As I would be similarly gratified by such an event I will not make jokes about the psychiatric stability of said shopkeeper, or his apparent visual impairment. I'll leave that to cruel people like Sput & Hyma! ;)

EDIT
Have you considered the fact that him asking you to provide ID for the CCTV camera was just a ruse since you entered the shop wearing a hoodie and brandishing a machette?

Yes I'm glad you'll leave it to others to take the shine off the moment. :(

Having walked past a mini Tesco in Birmingham not so long ago, they had big signs up in the windows saying that if you looked under 30 - not the usual 21 - you'd have to provide ID. I think that is going too far.

It's quite common in the US to take that approach. I can't tell what age anyone is anymore - as I explained to the judge.

I thought that involved rubbing other people up the wrong way?

*just kidding*

Bought a can of lager from the shop last night, and got ID'd. Pissed me off, as everyone who works in the shop knows who I am, since I live next right next door to the bloody place.
