ISP help?

I'm on Orange at the mo, and I'm fed up of the service as it's not as good as it was when it was Freeserve or Wanadoo are whatever the hell it ever was.
What do you use? Would you recommend it? How much do you pay monthly?

Wait for ADSL2+ and get 24Mbps.
That said I'm quite happy with my 20Mbps cable. I think I pay £25 - I complained about lack of Sky One and was upgraded for free.

Well that would be a 23mbps upgrade for me - how much do you reckon it'll cost?

Ooops I edited while you were posting. I paid for 4Mbps but got the rest free.
The boy on the phone was fantastic. I actually asked him out for a drink.

Did he take you up on your offer?
EDIT: Will any other ISP's be doing it? Our phone is with TalkTalk (line rental with BT), internet with Orange, and freeview television, so I don't think you could really get Sky.

He said, "Shame I'm so far away" and that was that.
I think you're able to get ADSL2+ as long as you have a BT line, but someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

Alright then, cheers for the help Gavin.

I notice you use 20meg cable. Does this really make much of a difference to everyday browsing? It's just I'm on 2meg and between it and Mr Hyma's 4meg I never could tell a difference (and he recently downgraded back to 2meg).
I remember the Uni connection ran at about 30meg all the time but thats a much more reliable technology

It's breathtakingly fast when downloading torrents such as South Park episodes (which are only 30Mb each given the limited detail in them). Often an episode has arrived by the time I've read the synopsis. Songs can take a matter of seconds.
I wouldn't have paid for it, but now I have it I'm not sure I could go back.

Try
