Metropol

The PS3 is commonly coined as being "the cheapest Blu-ray player available", but does anyone know if it's possible to watch Blu-ray with surround sound? The back panel has no sign of having capabilites of Surround Sound but i'm not sure if equipment can be used to watch Blu-ray with it. Is it possible or is that why it's a "cheap Blu-ray player"?

P.s. I'm a novice with Surround Sound so please excuse me if the sound is NOT from the PS3 or players.

It has an Optical Out, just like the PS2 had. As far as I know this can be used to power a surround system.
