Mcdonalds hot drinks

Due to not having time this morning for brekkie and a cuppa at home i popped into maccy D's drive thru for a cup of typhoo and bacon muffin to eat enroute. When they passed me my tea it squirted out the little hole in the lid and scalded my arm. I moaned at the girl she said sorry and then gave me a vacant look. I got to work treated my arm with some burns stuff from my first aid box. Its still red and its going to blister.

Anyone else been scalded with hot drink from there? They have stoopid cups for hot drinks. It normally ends up spilling out onto my leather interior not my arm.

Yeah ok, but have they ever scalded you?

I could sue them for scarring me and causing me psychological distress.

Yes their arguement could be, i'd complain if theys erved lukewarm tea and they'd be right but that's not the point. I'd prefer to get a hot cuppa on the go without getting burnt. And they have lousy carry out containers for drinks. I haven't used BK for a while but their drink carry out thingy is way better designed than Maccy D's.

In 1992 Stella Liebeck, a 79-year old retired sales clerk, bought a 49-cent cup of coffee from a drive-through McDonald’s in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was in the passenger seat of a car driven by her grandson. Ms. Liebeck placed the cup between her legs and removed the lid to add cream and sugar when the hot coffee spilled out on her lap causing third-degree burns on her groin, inner thighs and buttocks.

This infamous case[1]has become a leading rallying point for those advocating restrictions on the ability of consumers to use the U.S. civil justice system to hold corporations accountable for the injuries they cause. A New Mexico jury awarded Ms. Liebeck $160,000 in compensatory damages and $2.7 million in punitive damages

Oooh interesting!

Lucky for McD i'm not the sort of person to sue for a little blister on my arm. Mind you if i'd suffered serious burns to my genital area i might consider taking them to court.

If anyone is stupid enough to order a hot drink from their car because they're too lazy to park and go into the restaurant then they should accept the risk of handling hot drinks on their laps.

I can't bear people eating, drinking or smoking in my car. I stupidly allowed my sister to eat her chicken and chips takeaway a couple of days ago. She thought it would be a good idea to fuck around by pretending to throw chips at me whilst driving. I got wound up and whacked her arm. Chips and chicken flew everywhere. Curry sauce all over the window and seat, chips trodden into the floor, bits of chicken on the back seat. I went completely insane with rage. She's now banned from my car.

Oooh so you're a bit of a mardy bum. The lesson is never take family to a drive thru. I told one of my step daughters that when Mc D ran out of mayo they used the puss from their face instead. She nearly threw up in my car. Lol.. That was funny. Now being the busy kind of chappie that you are i thought you'd be the type to use the drive thru.

I had a drive thru barbershop once. It's a long story. It involves a bitter ex, stolen car and trashed salon windows. i got called out once to find half a Ford transit on my shop floor and the back half on my carpark. The fool! if he'd reversed into my shop window he wouldn't have got cut to shreads.

The last time I went to McDonald's was at the Drive Through was one evening in September 2005. If I'm in a rush I'd rather go hungry. Bottled water does a good job of dealing with the hunger demons.

Bollocks. How the hell would a drive-through barbershop work? Peering in through the sunroof with a pair of scissors and providing the gentleman with a prime view of your Kentish cleavage?

Seeing as you ask. My ex got a couple of skag heads to trash my salon. Due to insurance probs my shop front was boarded up for weeks. So to make light of the situation i stuck up a couple of banners on the chipboard. One chipboard window said Lorna's Drive in and the other said Lorna's drive out. It got me loads of new business. It wasn't a proper drive in barbers. It was a pisstake. I knew my ex would want to see how i handled it. He was hoping i'd give up but i threw it back in his face. That was 9 years ago.
